What makes easy things difficult?

Why is it that simple tasks seem so difficult?

Everyday things that we need to get done seem like such a hassle, yet they shouldn’t. Making dinner for example, then halfway through there’s an ingredient missing, or you’re in the checkout line and realizing you forgot something…. please don’t tell me I am the only one 🙃

Is it that in today’s world we’re doing too much at too fast a pace? Or perhaps it’s Satan’s way of keeping our eyes off of Jesus, while making life harder than it should be.

What would happen if we slowed down? Would the world stop? Would people look at us like we’re lazy or crazy?

What actually happens is life becomes simpler, things become easier, and the mind becomes clearer. It’s when we slowdown that we hear the calm voice inside of us, the peaceful and guiding voice of Jesus. It’s at this point we’re allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us, to help us think clearly, and the simplicity is blissful.

Many Christians say that they don’t “feel” the Holy Spirit, that they don’t hear God talking to them, and they feel as though the Holy Spirit never entered them. That’s not how it works, thank the Lord. The Holy Spirit doesn’t need to “feel” like anything to be there; He’s not a sunburn, a cold chill, or a tingling sensation.

Jesus said that anyone who loves Him will obey His teachings, for that reason the Father will love them too, and They will come to make a home with us…. this is in reference to the Holy Spirit ❤️ If you have received Jesus and His way of living (perfection isn’t expected, but we try) then the Holy Spirit is within you!

I’m thinking that if we all slowed down, we could hear the Spirit of God, that soft voice behind us saying “this is the way”.

I’m going to challenge you to take 3 steps next time your world is being difficult, chaotic, or moving too fast:

  1. Call a time out, stop what you are doing
  2. Breath in while saying “ya” and a breathe out saying “way”
  3. Then say a prayer inviting the Holy Spirit to guide you

Jesus said in this world there will be trouble, so difficulties will happen, but His Spirit would remain with us during all times. Some days may be hard, but the solution is simple, slow down and be led by the Spirit of Jesus.
