His Throne of Grace

Every person you meet will stand before the throne of God

They will be judged by Jesus, and they will either live an eternity with Him, or their soul will be lost forever..... have you done your part to warn them?

As believers we all know that Jesus bought salvation for every person on earth by His death on the cross, more than that, by His resurrection three days later!

As believers we should also know that Jesus asked, it was actually a command, that we spread His message to the whole world. I use to think He was just instructing the disciples, and subsequently the leaders of the church. Wow was I wrong!

Jesus was asking us, His followers, to spread the message of salvation, He prayed for us as well. He prayed that as believers we'd proclaim His name, that we may all be one with Him and the Father (see John 17:20-21).

Are you doing your part to spread the gospel message?

If the whole world is going to be reached, if every generation is going to know about Jesus, then we all need to be of one mind in the message... salvation is for everyone! Jesus wants to save everyone from death and destruction, so we can't go through life keeping this awesome news to ourselves. It is up to Christians, as a whole, to tell the people around them about the salvation that's available through Jesus.

Is it easier said than done?

To find the answer let's look at what difficult or hard really is... or isn't

  • Is it speaking? I doubt for most of us that this is hard to do, once I start talking it's harder for me to stop 😂
  • Is it loving others? Again, most of us have huge hearts, are very caring, and helping others makes us feel good..
  • Is it getting out around people? Judging by the crowds at concerts, sports games, restaurants, black Friday shopping, on cruise ships, and in church (Amen!), that being around people is definitely not hard for most of us.
  • Is it speaking to groups of strangers? I'm guessing that this one may be hard for many of us, myself included. I get nervous, tongue tied, and anxiety at the thought of it... so yes, it is physically hard.

But Jesus doesn't call-out most of us to speak to crowds, thank you Lord!

So it truly is NOT hard to spread the message of salvation. It can be uncomfortable because we don't like rejection, to be ridiculed, or the confrontation that might happen. I certainly get that, this was my problem, and sometimes still is.

Consider this -- a man in Lafayette Indiana saved 5 people caught in a house fire where an 18 year old was babysitting her siblings when the fire broke out. The 25 year old man was driving down the street when he saw the house in flames. He immediately ran into the home, helped 4 get out, and returned into the burning, smoke filled home for a 6-year old that was still inside. He saved her, he broke out an upstairs window and jumped to safety with the girl in his arms. Jesus was certainly there with him and those kids.

And Jesus will be with you too, so don't be worried about being ridiculed or rejected, don't worry about the confrontation that could happen.... go into it with the same heart that this man had, take action to help people in need!

"Deliver the message, warn people in a compassionate way, so that they have an opportunity for salvation from Jesus"

That's what Jesus has asked us to do, share His message with people in the world around us. We don't need to make a special trip, because we all have people around us at some point during the week, from family to complete strangers. Let them see you living with the light of Jesus, make it clear that you're a Christian, and share what He has done to your life... it is something to be proud of.

That's all you need to do, then when a window of opportunity to share the message opens, and it will, then share it with them.... for their sake. If they're open to knowing more, invite them to church, or offer to read the bible with them over a cup of coffee. If they blow off the message, that's okay, you did your part and tried. God works in the hearts of those who have heard the message, some will receive it, and unfortunately many others won't.

We love you all and are here for you on this mission to spread Jesus' message

Your family in Jesus Christ 😇
