Be a sower for Jesus

Planting seeds, giving hope, sharing your faith, showing love…. these are all part of delivering the gospel message that Jesus asked us to.

I’m sure you’ll agree, the first step of giving to anyone, is showing them kindness. When we smile, show empathy, stop to listen… only then will they be open to hearing about Jesus, what He has done in your life, and what He offers them.

To the homeless person, take a minute to speak with them and listen. Do you really believe all they want is money and not someone to listen to them? When you hand them money or food, also offer them the hope in Jesus, and pray over them so your actions words match your words. This goes for friends and family, it works, you’ll be surprised who will listen when you start with kindness.

It’s the loving your neighbor that Jesus spoke about, and only takes a few minutes of your day. Be kind, lend an ear, and plant seeds. Remember that a farmer plants seeds and waits to see what will grow, so don’t expect your seed to grow immediately, because Jesus comes behind you and does the watering.
